Tara, Kape
By Colline Nobleza
A warm and cozy evening is captured at this street-side coffee spot, BRWD. coffee and tea., on April 16, 2025 at N.S. Amoranto Sr., St., La Loma, Quezon City. The place looks so alive as people are seen to be enjoying their coffee under the large umbrellas, using the warm light of the cafe and the signage, having those casual yet special conversations. Some are couples, some went alone, others went with a family, and some are students or employees who had just got the chance to have free time.
The place gives off a chill vibe, that lowkey-feels of a neighborhood hangout. BRWD. is a coffee place that only ranges from ₱39 to ₱59, which is why it is always full of customers.
The phrase “tara, kape” has become a love language rather than a simple expression or invitation, reflecting how Filipinos give hospitality and importance to their way of connecting with one another. What makes a coffee special is not its flavor — but those meaningful conversations that make every sip taste like home.
