Activity#3
Three Basic Shots

It takes me about 20 minutes to ride my bicycle from Haneda Airport to my home. The other night, after finishing my part-time job, I decided to take some photos along the way. Even though it was already 11 p.m., I discovered many beautiful and interesting things that made me appreciate this familiar route even more. My first stop was the bicycle parking area near Terminal 3. I was surprised to see that there were still many bicycles parked there, which means many people are working at the airport even late at night. It reminded me that an airport is truly a 24-hour place, full of life and activity. Some people were finishing their shifts, and others were just starting. I felt a sense of respect for those who work hard throughout the night to keep everything running smoothly. Near the parking area, I saw beautiful azaleas blooming. The white flowers stood out in the dim light, creating a peaceful and refreshing scene. Even though I was tired, the sight of the flowers made me feel calm and happy. Nature has that power which can heal and refresh us, even in the middle of a busy city. As I continued riding, I noticed that many people were out running or cycling, even at night. The area around Haneda Airport is surprisingly spacious, with wide roads and open skies. The breeze felt nice on my face as I rode, and I understood why this place is popular for outdoor activities. I’ve been trying to run more recently to stay healthy, and this area seems like the perfect place for it. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, and it’s easy to forget that you're still in Tokyo. Next, I stopped to take a photo of an airplane repairing maybe. Since I started my part-time job, I haven’t had a chance to really watch the planes up close, so this moment felt special. The plane looked huge and powerful, and I wasn’t the only one taking pictures. Other people had also stopped to admire it. Seeing the airplane so clearly reminded me of how amazing modern technology is, and it made me think about all the people traveling far away at that very moment. Finally, I arrived at Anamori Bashi, the bridge that connects the airport area to a residential neighborhood. I had passed this bridge many times, but this time I noticed something new about a statue of a flying airplane on the bridge. I realized it for the first time thanks to this photo-taking activity. There were also panels along the bridge showing the history of airplanes, from the Wright Brothers’ first model to modern jets. It felt like a small outdoor museum. I was impressed by how the bridge celebrates aviation history, and I felt proud to live in a place so connected to the world of flight. This short journey made me realize that even ordinary routes can be full of interesting discoveries. By slowing down and looking carefully, I found beauty in flowers, strength in workers, inspiration in airplanes, and history on a simple bridge. It reminded me to stay curious and appreciate the world around me.
This is an original work, Yukina-san. I can hear your original voice. By slowing down, you discovered interesting things. Keep up the creativity.
