Godzilla has seen better days
The Nissan Skyline GTR R32. The ultimate machine, so ultimate it earned the nickname ‘Godzilla’. Dominating the tour racing scene, it rewrote rules and got banned in some touring series. It was the machine that earned Nissan's GTR badge back on their cars. Laying a legendary foundation for a legendary line of cars. The r32, r33, r34, and the standalone non-skyline r35 all having earned the GTR badge and all deserving of the name Godzilla.
The one that I captured is not exactly reminiscent of Godzilla. It had a missing bumper, its windows are not in good condition, and it's just collecting dust. Though looking at the aftermarket rims and exhaust system and how clean the body looks, I can tell that the owner loved it in the past.
I feel pity for it knowing that this car is the Godzilla, my dream car. I remember seeing this in the anime Initial D and the games Gran Turismo and Need for Speed. Imagining that I am the one overtaking all the other cars, despite it being known for its wicked understeer.
The kid in me is happy that he got to see his dream car, but the me right now feels sad. Sad that this car does not get to see its full potential, though outdated potential, it was something of a beast in its prime. I like to imagine I suddenly had the power to own that battered R32. How I would fix it's body adding a nice bumper, the rims are nice so I'm keeping those, and engine swap it with a turbocharged v6. Yes, it is a case of the ship of Theseus, but I want to see it roar like Godzilla it was named after. Not a piece of decoration you can leave on the sidewalk.
Nabigyan mo ng bagong pananaw ang kotseng ito, Jon. Dahil sa iyong pagmamahal sa sasakyan, may naipapakita na hindi pinapansin ng karaniwan.
